The early detection of damaged (partially broken) outdoor insulators in primary distribution systems is of paramount importance for continuous electricity supply and public safety. In this dataset, we present different images and videos for computer vision-based research. The dataset comprises images and videos taken from different sources such as a Drone, a DSLR camera, and a mobile phone camera.

This data includes instantaneous signal data from simulated subsynchronous oscillations and from actual SSO events.
The simulation system for data 1 is that a wind turbine with Doubly-fed Induction Generator (DFIG) is connected to a parallel compensator and then through a weak transmission line to the power grid, the sub-synchronous resonance occurs between the DFIG and the parallel compensator when the wind speed drops. This kind of SSO only contains the sub-synchronous oscillation component;

The dataset is generated by performing different MiTM attacks in the synthetic electric grid in RESLab testbed at Texas A&M University, US. The testbed primarily consists of a dynamic power system simulator (Powerworld Dynamic Studio), network emulator (CORE), Snort IDS, open DNP3 master and Elasticsearch's Packetbeat index. There are raw and processed files that can be used by security enthusiasts to develop new features and also to train IDS using our feature space respectively.

In order to see and interact with the case of study open the case_of_study.html file with an internet browser, it should work in all browser but we tested in Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Once the file is open, we will see something like the attached figure. In the next steps, the different variables available and the way of interacting with then will be described.
