We present two synthetic datasets on classification of Morse code symbols for supervised machine learning problems, in particular, neural networks. The linked Github page has algorithms for generating a family of such datasets of varying difficulty. The datasets are spatially one-dimensional and have a small number of input features, leading to high density of input information content. This makes them particularly challenging when implementing network complexity reduction methods.

Multi-modal Exercises Dataset is a multi- sensor, multi-modal dataset, implemented to benchmark Human Activity Recognition(HAR) and Multi-modal Fusion algorithms. Collection of this dataset was inspired by the need for recognising and evaluating quality of exercise performance to support patients with Musculoskeletal Disorders(MSD).The MEx Dataset contains data from 25 people recorded with four sensors, 2 accelerometers, a pressure mat and a depth camera.

The standard for measurement of solar irradiance utilizes the units of watts per meter squared (W/m2).  Irradiance meters are both costly and limited in the ability to measure low irradiance values.  With a lower cost and higher sensitivity in low light conditions, light meters measure illuminance utilizing the unit of Lux.  A conversion factor would enable the use of light meters to evaluate PV performance under low solar irradiance conditions.  This conversion is a supplement to Luminous Efficacy that compares atmospheric light in units of lumens to

A computational efficient battery pack model with thermal consideration is essential for simulation before real-time embedded implementation. The proposed temperature-dependent battery model (LiFePO4 battery cell, ANR26650M1-B from A123 Systems) will increase the lifespan of the battery. The simulation outputs are validated by a set of independent experimental data at a different ambient temperature using the dataset collected at 5 °C, 15 °C, 25 °C, 35 °C and 45 °C.

Noise control is required to ensure crew habitability onboard an offshore platform. Applying noise prediction is important to identify the potential noise problem at the early stage of the offshore platform design to avoid costly retrofitting in the implementation stage. Noise data were collected. The 4 output targets are namely: spatial sound pressure level (SPL), spatial average SPL, structure-borne noise and airborne noise at different octave frequencies (e.g. 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz, 4000Hz, 8000 Hz).

In file folder “PNML” contains Petri Net models of three different special structures: concurrent, exclusive and loop. We use “c” to stand for concurrent structure, “e” to stand for exclusive structure and “l” to stand for loop structure. We name the model as “structure abbreviation + number of branches on each special structure + count of special structures”. For example “e_4_5.pnml” is name for exclusive structure which has 5 exclusive substructures and there are 4 branches on each substructure.

A new proton therapy facility isunder constructionin Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Scanning magnets play an important role in this device. They can form an arbitrary two-dimensional radiation shape conformal with the tumor. In the pencil beam scanning system, the magnetic fields are excited by time-varying currents and the maximum repetition is up to 50 Hz. Therefore, the temperature rises of two magnets caused by eddy currents should be considered.

Even though intelligent systems such as Siri or Google Assistant are enjoyable (and useful) dialog partners, users can only access predefined functionality. Enabling end-users to extend the functionality of intelligent systems will be the next big thing. To promote research in this area we carried out an empirical study on how laypersons teach robots new functions by means of natural language instructions. The result is a labeled corpus consisting of 3168 submissions given by 870 subjects.

All technologies is adapting renewable energy source to reduce pollution in the environment. Aircraft uses fuel which causes great amount of C02 emission which pollutes the environment. So to reduce the pollution caused by aircrafts, research is going on aircrafts for being converted to more electric aircrafts(MEA) or hybrid aircrafts(HEA) which will require energy storage which is light and of huge capacity. The main challenge is energy storage in aircrafts and I will be discussing about this issue in this report.

The dataset consists of tracking data of over 23,000 vehicles travelling though five different roundabouts in Sydney, Australia. This data was collected by a vehicle outfitted with a ibeo.HAD Feature Fusion detection and tracking system. This system uses 6 ibeo LUX 4 beam, 25 Hz Lidar scanners to identify road users at a range of up to 200m, and has an on-board computer for classification and tracking, in real time.

Microbial fuel cells (MFC) are one of the best sources of renewable energy but the power density achieved till now is not enough for present as well as future application purpose. Recent research gives us hope that a high amount of power density can be achieved by doing various modifications at different functional levels on the paper based MFC.

One of the materials that is commonly being used in electronics applications is paper. It is flexible, cheap, highly available, and allows for simple manufacturing when paired with methods such as screen printing or inkjet printing. Proposed below is an optogenetic device that uses paper as the sole substrate, with a screenprinted PCB with Ag/AgCl wires. This device was quick and easy to manufacture, unlike the state of the art optoelectronic devices that use polymers and rely on complex fabrication methods such as photolithography.

Different instruments, satellite data and simulation softwares are available for measuring solar irradiation intensities but efficiency and accuracy of all devices are different. This paper represents detailed comparison of various measuring instruments based on efficiency, cost effectiveness, availability, accuracy, compactness and reliability .Importing solar radiation measurement instruments is very costly from economic and maintenance point of view for developing countries so it is preferred to construct devices from locally available equipments.

'Onion-Kasuga' algorithm was proposed to simplify the energy distribution reconstruction process. The research work discussed and supplied an effective method for energy/temperature distribution welding arc discharge analysis. That is also believed to be important for relevant field because the arc is usually used as the heat or force source. It is crucial to understand and control the arc behavior.
