This dataset contains leg joint kinematics, kinetics, and EMG activity from an experimental protocol approved by the Institutional Review Board at the University of Texas at Dallas. Ten able-bodied subjects walked at steady speeds and inclines on a Bertec instrumented treadmill for one minute per trial. Each subject walked at every combination of the speeds 0.8 m/s, 1.0 m/s, and 1.2 m/s and inclines from -10 degrees to +10 degrees at 2.5 degree increments, for a total of 27 trials.

We apply the AES Encryption algorithm and the Lempel Ziv(LZ) Compression algorithms on each data record and record the times. Then we apply combinations of AES and LZ on the data records - namely AES(LZ()) and LZ(AES()). We record the 4 times and derive scatter plots.

AIM: Population aging is a worldwide phenomenon leading to increased life expectancy without necessarily meaning more years of autonomous life. Frailty is characterized by diminished strength, resistance and physiological function that increase vulnerability leading to dependency and mortality. While frailty diagnoses requires a clinical assessment of the patients overall health including at least five different criteria, the relationship among them it is little explored.

Computational modelling of metabolic processes has proven to be a useful approach to formulate our knowledge and improve our understanding of core biochemical systems that are crucial to maintain cellular functions. Recently, it has become evident that metabolism is not only responsible for generating the required energy and controlling the abundance of metabolites within a cell, but also has an important role in and influence on cellular fate specification.

Objective: During laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy vaginal vault prolapse is repaired by restoring the anatomical state of
the vagina with a surgical mesh. A vaginal manipulator is placed inside the vagina to provide proper exposure to the surgeon for
fixation of the mesh on the vaginal surface and vault by laparoscopy. Vaginal vault manipulation is done manually by an assistant
and long operation times lead to fatigue and inconsistent application of tensioning forces. This work describes a novel force sensor

Datasets of confocal microscopy images of cardiomyocytes aimed at development of image recognition systems. Images of live and healthy cardiomyocytes with fluorescently stained sarcolemma were assigned into 5 classes according to their development stages. The least developed cardiomyocytes were considered to be at stage 1 (class 1) while the most developed ones were assigned stage 5 (class 5). All other images belong to a class 0.

For the development and evaluation of organ localization methods, we build a set of annotations of organ bounding boxes based on the MICCAI Liver Tumor Segmentation (LiTS) challenge dataset. Bounding boxes of 11 body organs are included:  heart (53/28), left lung (52/21), right lung (52/21), liver (131/70), spleen (131/70), pancreas (131/70), left kidney (129/70), right kidney (131/69), bladder (109/67), left femoral head (109/66) and right femoral head (105/66). The number in the parentheses indicates the number of the organs annotated in training and testing sets.

In the era of increasing connectivity, everything including upcoming medical devices is being connected to the internet. These medical devices are monitoring units which measure application specific parameters, process them, perform data encoding and send them to a cloud server. Intravenous (IV) therapy is a common medical procedure which requires a continuous monitoring of the setup to avoid complications which can be achieved by running the system for hours. Traditionally, doctors and nurses use their experience to estimate the time required by an IV to run.
