Abstract 

This dataset is in support of my research paper 'Comparison of ElectroMagnetic Emissions & Harmonic Analysis of 20 HP Motor Controlled by 3L NPC Inverter '.

This is useful for manufacturers and r&d engineers for product costing. For more information, results, conclusions on this, pls read research paper.

Instructions: 

Read Me

(1)  Zip or any folder neither contain any complete project folder nor any source code of project.

 (2) Extra Libraries created, modified , other scripts , not shared, as very elementary for any graduate,degree holder.

(3) All work is simple , on basic and elementary concepts, can be easily copied, remade and understood.

(4)  For other details like block/circuit diagram, set up, analysis, interpretation, parameters,  experiments, mathematical formulae used to obtain these results etc. please refer "Research Paper".

(5)  This work has undergone revisions, loss of data many times,  and many computer crashes. This will be the last version and there won't be any other improvement or corrections or re-upload.

(6)  The dataset has been checked by the 'Data or Code or model Inspector' before uploading.

(7)  If any problem in creating or copying, pls contact your university professor or board or any of the companies engineer.

(8) .mat files can be converted to .csv or .xlsx or .xls, you can ask company engineer (they may even do) or you can even do yourself. Some softwares allow direct loading of .mat in their softwares.

(9) No other question or email will be replied.

(8) The cm is  common mode noise, connected at DC input of 3 level 3 phase neutral point clamp inverter.

(9) The cmA is  common mode noise , connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase A of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(10) The cmB is  common mode noise , connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase B of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(11) The cmC is  common mode noise , connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase C of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(12) The dm is  differential mode noise, connected at DC input of 3 level 3 phase neutral point clamp inverter.  

(13) The dmA is  differential mode noise , connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase A of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(14) The dmB is  differential mode noise , connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase B of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(15) The dmC is  differential mode noise , connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase C of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(16) The spectra_cm is the spectra of the common mode noise, connected at DC input of 3 level 3 phase neutral point clamp inverter.  

(17) The spectra_cmA is the spectra of the common mode noise,connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase A of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(18) The spectra_cmB is the spectra of the common mode noise,connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase B of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(19) The spectra_cmC is the spectra of the common mode noise,connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase C of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(20) The spectra_dm is the spectra of the differential mode noise, connected at DC input of 3 level 3 phase neutral point clamp inverter.  

(21) The spectra_dmA is the spectra of the differential mode noise,connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase A of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(22) The spectra_dmB is the spectra of the differential mode noise,connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase B of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(23) The spectra_dmC is the spectra of the differential mode noise,connected at output of 3 phase inverter and at the input of phase C of the 20 HP squirrel-cage induction motor.

(24) The zip folders 2L16cm1,2L16dm,2L16spectra_cm,2L16spectra_dm has similar kind data but for 2 level (2L) space vector PWM inverter at 16 kHz.

 

How use Dataset Files

The data can be studied and used in various ways.

(1)  The values given in the dataset or in the Research paper can be used for different prototypes desigining.

(2)  As the Research paper has tabulated values, which are derived from dataset,manufacturer can instantly see and calculate increased product cost.

(3) The emissions are known, so a manufacturer can know whether their product will pass through other countries or not.

(4)  The dataset can be loaded into proprietary softwares or trial versions of Finite element or other simulation softwares to regenerate same model  or other model or to conduct other study.

(5) The collective graph of the complete dataset in each experiment is also given. For finer analysis, the dataset can be used to see details at much shorter interval.

(6) The dataset can be loaded in software to record or see the animation/video. The videos will show the emissions and spectra are over that frequency range.

(7) One particular frequency or some frequencies can be copied for degree thesis, project or phd thesis.
