Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a leading global health concern. Comprehensive data on CVD and key biomarkers play a pivotal role in deciphering individual symptomatology. These biomarkers encompass a range of physiological indicators, such as cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and inflammatory markers like C-reactive protein.

This dataset is from our study that challenges the conventional interpretation of electrocardiogram (ECG) measurements, suggesting a paradigm shift in our understanding. Traditionally, ECGs are seen as reflections of the electric potential on the body's surface, but we propose an alternative hypothesis: ECGs may represent the gradient of the electric potential rather than the potential itself. To investigate this, we use computational methods based on the boundary element method (BEM) within the SCIRun numerical package.

Drug development is a process that is incredibly expensive and time-consuming. Computational drug repurposing can help to assign new indications for approved drugs. It is capable to reduce the cost of drug developments. Machine learning models have been introduced to repurpose drugs long before. Recent studies formulate computational drug repurposing problem as a latent link prediction task on a heterogenous network. A number of computational methods have been developed based on graph neural networks.

Quantifying performance of methods for tracking and mapping tissue in endoscopic environments is essential for enabling image guidance and automation of medical interventions and surgery. Datasets developed so far either use rigid environments, visible markers, or require annotators to label salient points in videos after collection. These are respectively: not general, visible to algorithms, or costly and error-prone. We introduce a novel labeling methodology along with a dataset that uses said methodology, Surgical Tattoos in Infrared (STIR).

This dataset is used in conjunction with the manuscript submission entitled: “Training with a Visual-Haptic Simulator for Trocar Insertion,” which is submitted for consideration as a short paper in Transactions on Haptics for presentation with the 2024 Haptics Symposium Conference. Trocar insertions have the greatest risk of injuring a patient during laparoscopic surgery, with most of the injuries being attributed to surgeon error. However, surgeon error can be reduced through proper training.

IoT sensors offer a wide range of sensing capabilities, many of which have the potential for health or medical applications. Existing solutions for IoT in healthcare have notable limitations, such as limited I/O protocols, limited cloud platform support, and limited extensibility. Therefore, the development of an open-source Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) gateway solution that addresses these limitations and provides reliability, broad applicability, and utility would be highly desirable.

This study used datasets from two hospitals. These data were collaborated by physician diagnosis. Before using the data obtained from the two hospitals, the data were processed in such a way that no personal data such as names, addresses or phone numbers were stored in the dataset. Therefore, third parties cannot identify personal data in the dataset. Consent was also obtained from the hospitals where the data were collected and from the individuals participating in this study.

This data set is the data of the studies carried out in the article named "BalanSENS: Robotic platform system for balance analysis, rehabilitation and assistance with feedforward and feedback signals". BalanSENS is devised to embrace an approach that promotes active engagement by amalgamating diverse sensory inputs to enhance both sensory and motor functions. Its capacity to personalize balance rehabilitation for each individual is accomplished through a three-phase framework. The attributes of the servo motors are assessed to demonstrate their suitability for I-BaR.
