These datasets are of the hydraulically actuated robot HyQ’s proprioceptive sensors. They include absolute and relative encoders, force and torque sensors, and MEMS-based and fibre optic-based inertial measurement units (IMUs). Additionally, a motion capture system recorded the ground truth data with millimetre accuracy. In the datasets HyQ was manually controlled to trot in place or move around the laboratory. The sequence includes: forward and backwards motion, side-to-side motion, zig-zags, yaw motion, and a mix of linear and yaw motion.

Malignant pleural effusions (MPEs) are a challenging public health problem, causing significant morbidity and often being the first presenting sign of cancer. Pleural fluid cytology is the most common method used to differentiate malignant from non-malignant effusions. However, its sensitivity reaches 50-70% and depends on the experience of the cytologist, the tumor load, and the amount of fluid tested. Therefore, diagnostic inaccuracy and a high incidence of false negatives may endanger patients with clinical mistreatment and mismanagement.

PCA was then used in each group of variables to construct specific features for the CTT and GT. All extracted components are listed in the appendix.

Feature code is often scattered across a software system. Scattering is not necessarily bad if used with care, as witnessed by systems with highly scattered features that evolved successfully. Feature scattering, often realized with a pre-processor, circumvents limitations of programming languages and software architectures. Unfortunately, little is known about the principles governing scattering in large and long-living software systems.
