In controlled source electromagnetic (CSEM) modeling with well casings, it is common to assume that the current is flowing vertically in each casing, due to the large conductivity contrast between casings and their host media. This assumption makes the integration of the tensor Green's function relating the induced fields to source currents simple, since only the z-z component of the tensor needs to be considered. However, in practice, it can be improper to neglect the horizontal current effects in the casing without a close examination.

'Onion-Kasuga' algorithm was proposed to simplify the energy distribution reconstruction process. The research work discussed and supplied an effective method for energy/temperature distribution welding arc discharge analysis. That is also believed to be important for relevant field because the arc is usually used as the heat or force source. It is crucial to understand and control the arc behavior.

A comparison of designs obtained by statistical and deterministic methods is being carried out. Points that are difficult to address in the statistical approaches are considered. A formulation of a regularized solution to experimental design is described in detail. The peculiarities of the optimal design for three types of regressions are revealed. The main factors that govern the estimation errors are determined.

We investigated the turn-off waveforms of Superjunction (SJ) silicon MOSFETs with respect to their own charge imbalance by experiments as well as by device simulations.
When SJ-MOSFETs are used for chopper circuits we find a unique hump in the current waveform during the turn-off transient. The magnitude of the hump shape waveform drastically depends on the charge imbalance (CIB) in the SJ structure.

Blockchain is currently envisioned as a promising technology for enabling new applications, e.g., authenticity of diploma, supplying chain finance, and automatical transaction. Smart contract is a key function in blockchain to enable fair exchanges for values within de-centralized trust. However, as the smart contract can be automatically executed together with token transferring, hackers usually exploit vulnerabilities in smart contracts for gain possible profits in terms of digital currencies.SVM is employed for detecting unknown vulnerabilities to improve the recognition rate.
