Signal Processing

The dataset contains 5G positioning measurements simulated using a MATLAB raytracer tool in realistic environments (outdoors and indoors).
Outdoor scenarios include static and dynamic users in the urban area of Città Studi, Milan, Italy, near the Politecnico di Milano - Campus Leonardo.
The indoor context is reconstructed using a LiDAR acquisition in the MADE Competence Center I4.0 located in Politecnico di Milano - Campus Durandò, Bovisa, Milan, Italy.
The datasets include:

The scintillator detectors are recalibrated against the datasheet given by the manufacturer. Optimal and mutual dependent values of (a) high voltage at PMT (Photomultiplier Tube), (b) amplifier gain, (c) average time to count the radiation particles (set by operator), and (d) number of instances/sample number are estimated. Total 5: two versions of Central Limit Theorem (CLT), (3) industry preferred Pulse Width Saturation, (4) calibration based on MPPC coupled Gamma-ray detector, and (5) gross method are used.

A 2D Compact ultrasound computerized tomography (UCT) system is developed. Fully automatic post-processing tools involving signal and image processing are developed as well. Square of the amplitude values are used in transmission mode with natural 1.5 MHz frequency and rise time 10.4 ns and fall time 8.4 ns and duty cycle of 4.32%. The highest peak to corresponding trough values are considered as transmitting wave between transducers in direct line talk. Sensitivity analysis of methods to extract peak to the corresponding trough per transducer are discussed in this paper.

A non-destructive testing system requires multiple system configuration parameters during the operation process. For a given transducer, scanning frequency and number of measurements for averaging are just among those parameters. This work tests the central limit theorem to optimally set these parameters. The authors have designed a compact ultrasound computer tomography scanner from scratch just to test this criterion. It is shown that optimal frequency value changes with respect to the scanning angle for an object with a heterogeneous inner profile.

The growing antenna array scale, the uncorrelated fadings between downlink and uplink of frequency division duplex (FDD) or analog beamforming design increases the difficulty of channel sounding or estimation. Non-wireless channel detection or beam weight prediction method is a promising solution to help obtain timely and accurate wireless channel state. Furthermore, beamforming can be enhanced by the powerful sensing capability of cameras.

This letter presents a novel approach to bolster the physical layer security of optical communication systems, specifically within Passive Optical Networks (PONs), through the utilization of device fingerprints. In this proposed scheme, we employ Optical On-Off Keying (OOK) modulation for signal transmission and subsequently extract distinct fingerprint features from the eye diagrams of these OOK signals. These fingerprint features are then subjected to dimensionality reduction via Siamese neural networks.

This dataset protocol details the acquisition of a surface electromyography (sEMG) dataset from the Tibialis Anterior (TA) and Gastrocnemius Lateralis (GL) muscles of 20 healthy adults, with an equal distribution of 10 male and 10 female participants. The data was collected using the Delsys Trigno wireless EMG system during a 30-second walking session. Proper electrode placement on the specified muscles was ensured for accurate signal capture. Ethical considerations were addressed, with approval from the Institutional Review Board and informed consent from participants.

The dataset consists of measurements of four different stages of degradation in low-voltage contactors used for industrial purposes. The measurements were obtained with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors that detect the dynamic deformation generated in switching under different internal components. The measurements were processed and features from PSD, FFT and TSFEL python library were extracted. The features of PSD and FFT were acquired in 40 sliding windows of 50Hz from the signal.

This dataset comprises gunshot audio and supporting data released as part of ShotSpotter Tech Note 098, "Precision and accuracy of acoustic gunshot location in an urban environment".

The data derive from a series of live fire tests of the ShotSpotter Respond gunshot location system conducted in Pittsburgh, PA on December 18th, 2018 by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. ShotSpotter uses live fire tests to validate that the deployed sensor density is appropriate for the community in question, and to ensure the system is ready for production use.
