Database performance is one of the main components in supporting the sustainability of a system in this case is STARS. One way to improve the performance of the database is to use the concept of a partition table. Thus, in this study, the design and evaluation of the partition table will be carried out which will then be applied to the SWCU STARS database. The results of this study indicate that partition tables have better performance than non-partitioned tables seen from several SQL syntaxes, like update, delete and select.

Electroretinography is a non-invasive electrophysiological method standardized by the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision (ISCEV). Electroretinography has been used for the clinical application and standardization of electrophysiological protocols for diagnosing the retina since 1989. Electroretinography become fundamental ophthalmological research method that may assesses the state of the retina. To transfer clinical practice to patients the establishment of standardized protocols is an important step.

Akshi IMAGE, a new Indian ethnicity retinal fundus image database, has been established for the evaluation of computer-assisted glaucoma prescreening methods. ‘Akshi’ is a Sanskrit word for the ‘Eye’ and ‘IMAGE’ is an acronym for IISc-MAHE Glaucoma Evaluation database. This database is a result of an interdisciplinary collaboration between Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The database consists of retinal color fundus images acquired using three different devices.

Electroretinography (ERG) has great potential in visual health detection in early diagnosis and intervention. To date, optical coherence tomography and other diagnostic tests are mainly used. Clinically used ERG is an important diagnostic assessment for various retinal diseases, such as hereditary diseases (retinitis pigmentosa, choroideremia, cone dystrophy, etc), diabetic retinopathies, glaucoma, macular degeneration, toxic retinopathies etc. A database of five types of adult and pediatric biomedical electroretinography signals is presented in this study.
