Abstract

The CyberAlert-25 Dataset is a comprehensive collection of curated cyber threat data, developed to support advanced research in vulnerability detection, classification, and threat intelligence. Aggregated from authoritative sources such as the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center (NCIIPC) and the MITRE Corporation, the dataset focuses on Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), encompassing a total of 29,650 entries. Each record in the dataset includes five critical attributes: CVE ID, a detailed De scription of the vulnerability, the corresponding CVSS Base Score, Base Severity, and the Attack type. These features provide a holistic view of each vulnerability’s technical and security context, making the dataset well-suited for machine learning, deep learning, and threat analysis tasks. The IndiSecure-CVE Dataset aims to enable more accurate vulnerability classification, facilitate threat modeling, and enhance cybersecurity readiness—particularly for regional applications in Indian cyberspace.

Instructions:

To use the CyberAlert -25 dataset:

  1. Download the CyberAlert_cve_dataset.csv file.
  2. Use any standard data analysis tool (Python, Excel, R) to load the dataset.
  3. Refer to the data_dictionary.csv to understand the structure and meaning of each column.
  4. Apply filtering, classification, or machine learning models using features such as CVSS_Score, Severity, and Attack_Type.
  5. Ensure attribution to the authors and original CVE sources (MITRE/NCIIPC) if reused in publications.
