ERG
The electroretinogram (ERG) is a clinical test that records the retina's electrical response to light. The ERG is a promising way to study different neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - a neurodevelopmental condition that impacts language, communication, and social interactions. However, privacy issues and a lack of data complicate Artificial Intelligence applications in this domain. Synthetic ERG signals generated from real ERG recordings should carry similar information and could be used as an extension for natural data.

Electroretinography is a non-invasive electrophysiological method standardized by the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision (ISCEV). Electroretinography has been used for the clinical application and standardization of electrophysiological protocols for diagnosing the retina since 1989. Electroretinography become fundamental ophthalmological research method that may assesses the state of the retina. To transfer clinical practice to patients the establishment of standardized protocols is an important step.

Electroretinography (ERG) has great potential in visual health detection in early diagnosis and intervention. To date, optical coherence tomography and other diagnostic tests are mainly used. Clinically used ERG is an important diagnostic assessment for various retinal diseases, such as hereditary diseases (retinitis pigmentosa, choroideremia, cone dystrophy, etc), diabetic retinopathies, glaucoma, macular degeneration, toxic retinopathies etc. A database of five types of adult and pediatric biomedical electroretinography signals is presented in this study.
