Abstract

The mainstream battery pack voltages of electric vehicles (EVs) range from 200 V to 500 V. Compared with these conventional 400-V battery packs, 800-V EVs have smaller cables, higher charging power, and a longer range. Although existing literature has overcome the drawbacks caused by one or two parameter variations in a 400-V EV WPT system, few works discuss the Z classes, output voltages, and output power levels simultaneously. In addition, few works focus on the 800-V wireless power transfer (WPT) system and its compatibility with 400-V WPT systems. This video presents the experimental results of a 20-kW wireless power transfer system which can adapt to both 400-V and 800-V EVs with Z1 or Z2 class.

Instructions:

This video shows the experimental results of the proposed series-parallel transformer-based wireless power transfer system for 400-V and 800-V electric vehicles with Z1 or Z2 class.
