Abstract
This dataset comprises high-resolution imaging data of biological porcine, clinically approved porcine and bovine, and chick embryo heart tissues. The dataset includes comprehensive anatomical and structural details, making it valuable for research in cardiovascular biology, tissue engineering, and computational modeling. The porcine and bovine heart samples are clinically approved, ensuring relevance for translational and preclinical studies. The chick embryo heart data provides insights into early cardiac development. This dataset serves as a resource for validating machine learning models, advancing 3D fiber orientation mapping, and exploring cardiovascular tissue mechanics.
Dataset Overview
This dataset contains high-resolution JPG images of heart tissues, including:
- Biological Porcine: Imaging data of porcine heart tissues.
- Clinically Approved Porcine and Bovine: Data from clinically approved porcine and bovine heart samples.
- Chick Embryo Heart: Data from chick embryo hearts.
The images are organized into separate folders for each tissue type.
Data Augmentation
The images are gridded into 50x50 pixel segments to augment the dataset. This process increases the number of data samples and helps in training robust models.
