Abstract 

This dataset includes electronics repair guides from MyFixitDataset. From the MyFixit dataset, 50 repair manuals were randomly selected from each of the Mac, PC, Phone, and Electronics categories. These 200 repair manuals with 4754 distinct steps were to be selected and loaded into the Assembly Guidance Ontology. Each step was evaluated by the authors, and suitable parameters were assigned for the Digital Assembly Guidance System. The parameters include the Guidance Level required, the type of graphical assets to present the instruction, the tracker, the frame of reference, and the method of display. 

Instructions: 

The dataset is in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, which can be used to configure the suitable methods of delivery of work instruction in manual assembly in the form of digital work instruction. These data were also used to predict the method of instructional delivery of future new work instruction, in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, with machine learning methodologies.
