Abstract
Method to plot PV i-V and power curve without solving the standard PV transcendental equation
Instructions:
Launch LabVIEW VI.
Enter PV datasheet characteristic values of Ns the number of series cells, Voc the open circuit voltage, and Isc the short circuit current
From solved PV parameters, enter diode ideality factor η, series resistance Rs, and parallel resistance Rp
Output is PV I-V and Power curves, datasheet maximum power voltage Vmp, maximum power current Imp, and maximum power Pmp, Also outputs solved parameters photon light current IL and diode reverse saturation current Io
