Abstract

  • This dataset comprises license plate information captured by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) devices as vehicles either entered or left the smart village area of Alpujarra, which encompasses the towns of Pampaneira, Capileira, and Bubión.
  • The sensor network includes four Hikvision IP cameras that use deep learning-based ANPR technology to cover all vehicular movements. Each camera is outfitted with vehicle detection sensors, a 2MP resolution, varifocal lenses (ranging from 2.8 to 12 mm), and infrared LEDs effective up to 50 meters.
  • In the dataset, each node corresponds to a camera: two are located at the entrance and exit of Pampaneira (PAM1 and PAM2), one at the entrance of Bubión (BUB), and one at the entrance of Capileira (CAP). Tourist routes are represented as graphs, with each route forming a unique graph structure.
  • Data was collected from February 2022 to December 2024, covering 467,773 distinct vehicles.
Instructions:

The variables include:

  • num_plate_id: An anonymized identifier for the license plate.
  • route: The sequence of nodes (camera identifiers) corresponding to each tourist visit; possible values include PAM1, PAM2, CAP, and BUB.
  • times: The travel time in seconds between consecutive nodes.
  • entry_date: The timestamp when the vehicle was first detected.
  • exit_date: The timestamp when the vehicle was last detected.
  • directions: A sequence indicating the travel direction at each camera (with 1 for entering and 0 for exiting).
  • num_visits: A label representing the total number of visits by that tourist between February 2022 and December 2024.
