Abstract
<p><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; border: none windowtext 1.0pt; mso-border-alt: none windowtext 0in; padding: 0in; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Many neurophysiological measurements are affected by mental state tasks. The behavior of the human body's systems is frequently studied using biomedical instrumentation, which also helps to predict how the body will react physiologically to different types of cognitive demands. Electroencephalography (EEG) and electrocardiography (ECG), and electromyography (EMG) are used as markers of an emotional situation. The capability to process information is impacted by certain cerebral cortex stimulation conditions. Arousal, alertness, vigilance, and attentiveness are some words that have been used to describe these states. Vigilance defines as the state of staying careful watch for potential risks or dangers. Previous studies used only EEG signals or EEG and EMG or EEG and ECG for estimating the vigilance levels. However, the previous research shows a relation between the EEG frequency bands and central, partial, and occipital during vigilance. It indicates for HRV the connection between heart rate and frequency domain. EEG has a high temporal resolution; it offers helpful data to investigate mental state fluctuation. ECG records the electrical signal from the heart to examine various heart circumstances. EMG technique that is detecting the electrical impulses that produce by muscle. The EEG, ECG, and EMG of the five healthy college students were monitored while they relaxed session, completed the Psychomotor Vigilance Test session and meditation session. The goal of this study was to determine the accuracy of the feature estimation by using EEG, ECG, and EMG data to assess the level of vigilance. The results show a correlation between the ECG, EEG, and EMG under monitored settings is significant. The biosignals and biomarkers in vigilance concerns are heart rate (HR), very low frequency (VLF), low frequency (LF), theta wave, and root mean square (RMS). Those features could use as control treatment in many disorders related to vigilance. In addition, the meditation has a beneficial effect, and the employed protocol and features may be helpful for Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (mTLE).</span></p>
