Abstract

Integrative Augmented Reality Gaming: Immersive Human-Machine Interaction

This work presents an innovative human-machine interaction system, utilizing augmented reality (AR) as a captivating gaming environment. Leveraging the power of OpenCV and OpenGL, this system combines video capture, image processing, and 3D graphics rendering for a seamless user experience. The ingenious development of ArUco Marker detection enables precise tracking in AR applications. Remarkably, this AR system utilizes an affordable webcam instead of costly RGB-D cameras, generating depth data through mathematical manipulation of pose estimation. Addressing performance challenges and enhancing interaction, this system runs on low-end CPUs with GPUs and supports various video resolutions, leveraging inexpensive webcams for a highly cost-effective solution.
