Alaa Awad Abdellatif received his Ph.D. in 2018 from both Politecnico di Torino and Qatar University, where he is currently a Postdoctoral researcher. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees with honors in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He also worked as a Senior Research Assistant and Research Assistant at Qatar University, from 2013 till 2015, and at Cairo University, from 2009 till 2012, respectively. Dr. Alaa Abdellatif has authored or co-authored over 35 refereed journal, magazine, and conference papers in reputable international journals and conferences. He has served as a technical reviewer for many international journals and magazines. His research interests include Edge computing, Blockchain, machine learning and resources optimization for wireless heterogeneous networks, smart-health, IoT applications, and vehicular networks. He was the recipient of the Graduate Student Research Award (GSRA) from Qatar National Research Fund, and the Best Paper Award from Wireless Telecommunications Symposium 2018, in USA, in addition to the Quality Award from Politecnico di Torino in 2018.
