This dataset proposes a new method of modelling dynamic loads based on instantaneous p-q theory, to be employed in large power system networks in a digital real time environment. In order to decrease the computational burden associated to the dynamic load modelling, a p-q- theory-based approach for load modelling is proposed in this dataset. This approach is based on the well-known p-q- instantaneous theory developed for power electronics converters, and it consts only of linear controllers and of a minimal usage of control loops, reducing the required computational power.

Models of the electrical machines are used in the process of development control system and verification of them. Nowadays multiphase machines are attracting attention due to their reliability; however, standard MATLAB libraries are limited by 5-phase and 3-phase models. This paper considers a universal model of 3-, 5-, 6-, 7-, 9-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor. The model was developed using standard blocks of MATALB Simulink and can be used as a component of SimPowerSystem. Simulation results are provided as well as a link to the library for use free of charge.

This dataset contains two subjects. The first one is a Matlab App created for PMSMs (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) parameters estimation, both in the electrical and in the mechanical energetic domains. The second one is a generalized PMSM Simulink superblock equipped with a user-friendly interface allowing to select options and to input the model parameters. The Matlab App and the PMSM superblock can be easily interfaced with each other.
