Abstract

The dielectric spectroscopy data was obtained to characterize the dielectric responses and calculate the dielectric loss in the FEM model. The complex dielectric permittivity was measured with the Novocontrol Concept 80 broadband dielectric spectrometer. Silver electrode with a diameter of 30 mm was prepared on both sides of the sample by sputtering. The temperature range in this experiment was from -30 to 150 °C with an interval of 10 °C. The frequency range was from 1 Hz to 1 MHz.

Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (DGEBA, Shanghai XRUN resin co. ltd.) was chosen as the based resin with its epoxy value of about 0.53. Phthalic anhydride (PA), tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (THPA), methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MeTHPA), hexahydrophthalic anhydride (HHPA), methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride (MeHHPA), and methyl nadic anhydride (MeNA) were chosen as the anhydride hardener. Benzyldimethylamine(BDMA) was selected as the accelerator. The equivalence ratio of epoxy and anhydride is 1:1.

Instructions:

This Dataset contains 6 csv files, representing six different recipes.

Each data includes two independent measurements. The first line indicates the test temperature (degrees Celsius), and the first line indicates the test frequency (Hz).The complex dielectric permittivity was measured with the Novocontrol Concept 80 broadband dielectric spectrometer. Silver electrode with a diameter of 30 mm was prepared on both sides of the sample by sputtering. The temperature range in this experiment was from -30 to 150 °C with an interval of 10 °C. The frequency range was from 1 Hz to 1 MHz.

Formulations of the epoxy/anhydride systems:

  • DGEBA:PA:BDMA=100:78.4:0.025
  • DGEBA:THPA:BDMA=100:80.5:0.5
  • DGEBA:MeTHPA:BDMA=100:88:0.5
  • DGEBA:HHPA:BDMA=100:81.6:0.5
  • DGEBA:MeHHPA:BDMA=100:89:0.5
  • DGEBA:MeNA:BDMA=100:94.3:1
