Abstract
All the healthcare facilites in this dataset were collected from the MOH 2018 list of Uganda healthcare facilites (https://library.health.go.ug/sites/default/files/resources/National%20Health%20Facility%20MasterLlist%202017.pdf) Additional features were scraped using the Google Maps API and additionally from some of the websites of the healthcare facilities themselves. PLEASE NOTE The data collected isn't verified at and might be completely outdated but none the less for research purposes this dataset can help in understanding recommendation systems. This dataset was funded by Pollicy, more about Pollicy can be found here https://pollicy.org/
The dataset comprises up to 6,000 Ugandan healthcare facilities. Key columns include:
- facility_name: Name of the healthcare facility.
- services: Types of services offered.
- latitude and longitude: Geographic coordinates of the facility.
- rating: Integer value (1–5) indicating the facility's rating.
- operating_hours: Operating schedule for all seven days of the week.
- website: Facility's website URL.
- phone_number: Contact telephone number (Ugandan).
- care_system: Facility type (Public or Private).
- mode_of_payment: Accepted payment methods (Insurance, Cash, No payment).
- subcounty: Sub-county location of the facility.
This dataset provides comprehensive details for analyzing healthcare facilities in Uganda.
