Abstract

This dataset is designed for the reconstruction of images of underground potato tubers using received signal strength (RSS) measurements collected by a ZigBee wireless sensor network. It includes RSS data from sensing areas of various sizes, environments with different layouts, and soils with varying moisture levels. The measurements were obtained from 9 potato tubers of differing sizes and shapes, which were buried in two distinct positions within the sensing area.

Instructions:

This dataset is designed for the reconstruction of images of underground potato tubers using received signal strength (RSS) measurements collected by a ZigBee wireless sensor network. It includes RSS data from sensing areas of various sizes, environments with different layouts, and soils with varying moisture levels. The measurements were obtained from 9 potato tubers of differing sizes and shapes, which were buried in two distinct positions within the sensing area. The folder structure for this dataset is as follows:

"Soil_Hall_7_10" : RSS measurements are collected in a hall and the moisture level of the soil is 7.10%.
"Soil_Hall_11_2":  RSS measurements are collected in a hall and the moisture level of the soil is 11.20%.
"Soil_MeetingRoom_7_10":  RSS measurements are collected in a meeting room and the moisture level of the soil is 7.10%.
"DemoCodes": Codes used to demonstrate the ground truth.
"GroundTruth": Ground truth of underground potato tubers.
"SensorData": RSS measurements.
"40_40": The sensing area with the size of 40cm × 40cm.
"60_60": The sensing area with the size of 60cm × 60cm.
"S1_P1": RSS measurements collected from tuber 1 and position 1. Similarly, "Sk_Pj" represents the RSS file collected from the k-th tuber at the j-th position.
