Abstract

This dataset comprises responses from 148 participants within the manufacturing-fabrication industry regarding their use and perceptions of dashboard monitoring systems. The data collection focused on 11 key questions, with responses recorded on a Likert scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). The objective was to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of dashboard monitoring on various aspects of industrial operations.

Key Questions Addressed:

  1. Frequency of Dashboard Usage: How often do users employ dashboards in their field?
  2. Enhancement of Routine Work: Does dashboard usage enhance routine work activities?
  3. Resource Allocation: Is resource allocation improved with dashboard monitoring?
  4. Compliance with Delivery Schedules: Does dashboard monitoring aid in adhering to delivery schedules?
  5. Compliance with Quality Needs: Is meeting quality requirements easier with dashboard monitoring?
  6. Inventory Management: Is inventory management more efficient with dashboard monitoring?
  7. Financial Management: Does dashboard monitoring improve financial management practices?
  8. Sales Management: Is sales management better with the use of dashboards?
  9. Handling Customer Grievances: Does dashboard monitoring facilitate better handling of customer grievances?
  10. Employee Training Needs Management: Is managing employee training needs more effective with dashboard monitoring?
  11. Predictive Maintenance: Is predictive maintenance improved with the use of dashboards?

Methodology

The survey employed a structured questionnaire to collect quantitative data, which was subsequently analyzed to identify trends and correlations. Each question was designed to capture the perceived benefits and challenges associated with dashboard use in various operational contexts.

Summary of Findings

The dataset provides valuable insights into how dashboard monitoring is perceived in terms of enhancing routine tasks, resource allocation, compliance with delivery and quality standards, inventory and financial management, sales management, customer grievance handling, employee training needs, and predictive maintenance. This information can be leveraged to optimize dashboard functionalities and improve overall operational efficiencies in the manufacturing-fabrication industry.

This dataset serves as a comprehensive resource for further analysis and research, facilitating a deeper understanding of the role and impact of dashboard monitoring systems in industrial settings.
