Abstract
In this study, BT-CFO based multiferroic composite were synthesized using solid state method by adding different compositions (i.e. 5%, 10% & 15%) of Cobalt Ferrite (CFO) in Barium Titanate (BT). XRD pattern showed sharp peaks of BT and CFO exhibiting crystalline nature of composite. The morphological structure was determined using FESEM, which also confirmed a uniform grain size distribution. Dielectric study was done by varying the temperature at a certain frequency value. Further, magnetic and ferroelectric properties of BT-CFO composite were studied by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and PE–hysteresis loop, resulting in enhancement of magnetization and polarization as the amount of CFO increases in BT. In addition to this, BT-CFO composites exhibited a significant magneto-electric effect. The maximum value of ME coefficient is calculated as 5.506 mV/Cm-Oe for 10% CFO in BT at frequency of 10KHz, and at Hac = 1Oe.
