Abstract
This data set contains birefringence and optical axis maps of human dorsal hand skin tissue at a depth of approximately 400 microns below the skin surface. The maps were acquired through a depth-resolved polarisation-sensitive optical coherence tomography system.
Instructions:
The dataset comprises two 2D arrays: one representing the optical axis orientation of human skin and the other containing the normalized birefringence values. These arrays can be loaded into MATLAB using the load function. To visualize the spatial distribution of birefringence and optical axis, the imagesc function can be used.
