Abstract

Results of survey regarding Code Mangler problems vs traditional code writing problems. Answers include ratings of difficulty, ability of problem to assess student's skill, and confidence of student's answer for both types of problems. Summary calculations and pairwise comparisons included.

Instructions:

Common CSV file. Row 1 includes question numbering. Row 2 includes question text. Rows 4-79 include individual responses. Rows 82-96 include summary and analysis. Columns N-S consider difficulty differences between problem types. Columns V-AA considers assessment of student's ability. Columns AD-AI considers student confidence differences.
