Abstract

In this paper, a PID controller is applied in order to control the temperature by a proposed model of Newton’s law of cooling. The control problem considers a model obtained, which the temperature of a body decreases with time is proportional to the difference in temperature between the body and its surroundings. This model is represented as a state variable model that describes a mathematical model of physical system as a set of input, output and state variables by errors with zero initial condition. The necessary conditions for the asymptotic stability of the proposed controller are validated by implementing the Lyapunov stability theorem. The theoretical concepts are validated applying numerical analysis, which prove the effectiveness of the PID controller to regulate the temperature of the system.
