Abstract

This Matlab code allows the reproduction of the robot dynamics identification experiment results. It produces a .csv file corresponding to the table with a summary of results which can be used for the comparison of the algorithms.

Here is the abstract of the work:

System identification is an important part of robotics research as it helps to understand complex systems where some parameters might be unknown or not measurable. Our work is the second step in the lifecycle (R-article, r-article, short reply) of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society approach to reproducibility in robotics research. We have reproduced the results of system identification of robot dynamics experiments both via an online computational platform as well as on a local setup. Our analysis has demonstrated that all the results and claims are reproducible, however, we provide some feedback regarding possible minor improvements that could allow a better reproducibility of the results.

Instructions:

Download and unzip "code_r_article.zip" and run it using Matlab. Supplemental material with all the details is attached in the r_article_README.pdf
