Abstract

The dataset provided contains the active power profiles, measured in MW, of photovoltaic (PV) and wind power plants, along with the active power consumed by loads in a 33-node distribution network. The profiles span four distinct weeks, specifically the second weeks of January, May, August, and October in 2022. These weeks were selected to represent the different seasons, thereby ensuring a comprehensive analysis across varying seasonal conditions. The focus of the dataset is the Italian peninsula, providing valuable insights into the seasonal variability of renewable energy production and consumption within this specific geographical context. This dataset is instrumental for research and analysis aimed at optimizing the integration and management of renewable energy sources in distribution networks.

Instructions:

The provided file is a CSV containing 672 rows, corresponding to the hours of the four weeks considered, and 31 columns defining the reference technology. The first row of the file contains text specifying the type of technology: 'pv' for photovoltaic systems, 'w' for wind power plants, and 'L' for loads. Alongside the technology type, the node to which the technology is connected is specified. For example, 'Ppv8' indicates the active power profile in MW of a photovoltaic plant connected to node 8 of the considered 33-node distribution network. This detailed structure ensures clarity and precision in identifying the power profiles and their respective nodes within the network.
