Abstract

Computer experiment is crucial for marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) forward modeling in hydrocarbon exploration. Marine CSEM computer experiment is used to discretize the governing equations of the electromagnetic (EM) fields. One dimensional (1D) simulation usually is fully utilized to determine the reliability of the higher dimensional marine CSEM computations. All the data were generated using Web Hosted Active-Source Modeling (WHAM) online resource. The simulation models were developed based on unique electrical resistivity values parameterized in each layer. Three different transmission frequencies (0.125 Hz, 0.25 Hz, and 0.5 Hz) were tested. Here, two main input parameters were studied; hydrocarbon depth and hydrocarbon electrical resistivity.

Instructions:

The data are arranged in column, where every column represents magnitude of electric field for unique input parameters.
