Abstract

IEEE 802.11ac performance dataset contains information regarding normalized throughput achieved under five link configuration parameters and a channel condition measured by SNR. The five link configuration parameters are channel bandwidth, multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) antenna, modulation and coding schemes (MCS), guard interval and frame aggregation. In the dataset, there are seven columns: SNR value, MIMO, channel bandwidth, MCS, guard interval, frame aggregation and normalized throughput. This dataset can be used for the training purpose of a deep neural network model which wants to predict the normalized throughput under a SNR value of the channel and for a given set of values of five link configuration parameters (mentioned above) which have been chosen under that SNR value. Therefore, this dataset can help to learn a deep neural network model that has the objective to enhance the performance of IEEE 802.11ac based high throughput wireless access networks.

Instructions:

To input this dataset to a deep neural network based model, the learning model should take seven inputs since there are seven columns in the dataset. Since the relationships among the seven parameters in the dataset are non-linear, a kernel function can be used to map the values of those parameters into a higher dimensional space. Then the date can be input to the deep neural network based learning model for the training purpose.
