Abstract 

The presented dataset is a hybrid solution between the simulated datasets and the ones based on real data. Furthermore, the main advantages and uniquenesses of the proposed work are: i) data variability, in terms of the operating states of the electrical loads and the adoption of appropriate consumption models; ii) the total number of available electrical parameters (433 in our case) enormously larger than the above-cited datasets, as the full analysis of frequency behaviors and harmonic computations; iii) the seasonality of the data. Indeed, it is generated through simulation, starting by real measurements, and customized by means of an effective computed variability model. Finally, it has been validated with further a-posteriori measurement campaign on real loads.

eLAMI refers to 360 days of simulation of a house with 36 connected appliances. Calculated electrical parameters are provided every 5 seconds (measurement time) for a total of 17280 daily readings. At each measurement interval, 433 quantities are calculated in order to fully identify the electrical signature of the load. In addition to the information on the individual load, the same electrical parameters are also calculated for the total aggregate and three partial sub-aggregates consisting of load subsets. In this way, in eLAMI considering the three partial sub-aggregates and the total individually, it is like having four simulated datasets.Of course, in addition to the calculated quantities, the ground truth, i.e. the current operating state of each electrical load, is also provided. The electrical-behavioural habits refer to a two-person household defined by means of the simulation of a stochastic model created ad-hoc (following analyses conducted on real households), so that there is total variability within eLAMI and a good correlation with reality.

 

Instructions: 

This dataset is referred to a home building simulated energy consumption. It is organized in a hierarchical structure: "by months", then "by loads" and finally "by calculated electrical parameters".  Further information is also given on aggregates (group of loads whose electrical parameters are computed jointly): one total and three partial aggregates.

Described information are reported in ".csv" format. For load identification and more information about computed quantities, a file named "header_file.xlsx" is available inside each month's folder in the dataset.
