Abstract

This dataset comprises SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data covering the Indian terrain, with a resolution of 90KM x 90KM. These datasets are instrumental in terrain analysis, accurately depicting elevations above sea level. By offering detailed topographical information, they facilitate various applications including land use planning, infrastructure development, and environmental modeling. Researchers and professionals rely on this dataset to derive insights into geographical features, assess flood risks, plan transportation networks, and support disaster management efforts. Its wide-ranging utility underscores its significance in enhancing our understanding and management of the Indian landscape. In addition, the data includes DCW (Digital Chart of the World) data, providing an extensive digital map of the Earth. This comprehensive dataset offers detailed geographical information, including water paths, supporting a wide array of geographic analysis and mapping applications.
