Are datasets required to be published?

Yes. Publishing datasets is a fundamental component of the IEEE DataPort platform and all dataset owners should publish their dataset(s) no later than six months after the original submission date. Most datasets are published on their initial entry date. We encourage dataset submitters to adopt this practice when possible. Note: dataset entries may be updated if necessary.

Starting July 1, 2024, IEEE DataPort will be taking action to publish all datasets on the platform that have been in the unpublished state for over 6 months.
