Abstract
This dataset contains detailed technical specifications and market pricing information for power electronic components, specifically MOSFETs and IGBTs from two manufacturers: Wolfspeed and Hitachi. The data was collected through two main methods: manual upload of technical specifications in XML format from the manufacturers' official websites, and real-time market price aggregation using web scraping techniques from the Octopart platform, facilitated by Nexar APIs. The dataset includes key electrical and thermal properties, such as voltage ratings, current limits, resistance values, and switching losses, as well as the average market prices (in USD) of each component. The price data was last updated on March 28, 2025. A total of 151 components are represented in the dataset, providing valuable information for cost estimation and component selection in power electronics designs.
The dataset consists of individual files for each component, where the file name corresponds to the part number (or component code) of the device. Each file contains detailed information about the specific component, organized in a structured format. The data is provided in JSON format, and each file includes the following key categories:
-
Technical Specifications:
This section contains the electrical and thermal properties of the component, including:-
Voltage Ratings
-
Current Limits
-
Resistance Values
-
For IGBT components, a parameter called MODULE specifies whether the component is in a module configuration (Yes/No). This helps to distinguish between individual IGBTs and those provided in module form, which may include multiple IGBTs and associated components.
-
For MOSFET components, the I25 value is provided, representing the current at 25°C junction temperature, which is important for evaluating the component's performance in thermal conditions.
- Switching Losses

Market Pricing:
The average market price for the component, in USD, is provided. This data was gathered through web scraping from the Octopart platform and updated on March 28, 2025.
Each JSON file is named according to the part number of the component, making it easy to identify and correlate the data. The structure of the JSON file allows users to easily access the relevant details for each component, facilitating efficient analysis and selection in power electronics design projects.
