Abstract

This dataset aims to collect and collate information about activity on the Bitcoin blockchain, with a focus directed at on-chain data which describes the state of the network at any given time. Some examples of these metrics include:

  • Datetime
  • Mempool Size
  • Transaction rate
  • market cap usd
  • Average block size
  • Market price usd
  • Exchange volume usd
  • Average confirmation time
  • Hash rate
  • Difficulty
  • Miners revenue
  • Total transaction fees

Instructions:

  • mempool_size,The aggregate size of transactions waiting to be confirmed.
  • transaction_rate,The number of Bitcoin transactions added to the mempool per second.
  • market_cap_usd,"The total USD value of bitcoin supply in circulation, as calculated by the daily average market price across major exchanges."
  • average_block_size,The average block size in MB.
  • market_price_usd,Average USD market price across major bitcoin exchanges.
  • exchange_volume_usd,The total USD value of trading volume on major bitcoin exchanges.
  • average_confirmation_time,The average time taken for a transaction to be combined in a Bitcoin block with other transactions and added to the blockchain.
  • hash_rate,The estimated number of tera hashes per second (trillions of hashes per second) the Bitcoin network is performing.
  • difficulty,A relative measure of how difficult it is to find a new block. The difficulty is adjusted periodically as a function of how much hashing power has been deployed by the network of miners.
  • miners_revenue,Total value of coinbase block rewards and transaction fees paid to miners.
  • total_transaction_fees,The total value of all transaction fees paid to miners (not including the coinbase value of block rewards).
