IEEE DataPort Wins 2023 Power of Associations Summit Award from ASAE

The IEEE DataPort platform has just won IEEE the prestigious 2023 Power of Associations Summit Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). IEEE is one of six organizations to win this highest honor for the association community.

The award celebrates and promotes the invaluable contributions that associations make to America and the world. For IEEE DataPort, those contributions include supporting open data initiatives by providing access to thousands of valuable research datasets, creating a secure platform for researchers to share research data, and encouraging collaboration.

Researchers, engineers, educators, and students use IEEE DataPort platform to store, search, and manage datasets across a broad scope of topics. With more than 5 million users and nearly 5,000 datasets, the platform provides a significant service to the global research and scientific community.

“It is an honor for IEEE DataPort to receive this distinguished recognition from ASAE,” said Rakesh Kumar, Chair IEEE DataPort Steering Committee. “IEEE is investing in data-related services that benefit the global technical community and IEEE DataPort is proving to be very effective in assisting data-based research across the globe.”

Other 2023 ASAE Power of Association Award winners include American Farm Bureau Federation, Arkansas Bankers Association, Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina, Edison Electric Institute, and the National Association of Colleges and Employers. The awards will be presented at the Summit Awards Dinner on September 28, 2023, at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
