Abstract
The Mobility Patterns in Cali dataset describes the data on the population distribution and mobility patterns of residents in Cali, Colombia. The population of Cali is 2.4x10^6 and the living areas are divided into 22 sub-populations. We constructed a mobility network between these 22 sub-populations based on their mobility patterns. This dataset provides significant underlying network support for relevant work on verifying the impact of population mobility on epidemic spread.
Instructions:
The first named "PobCali.txt" contains two columns which correspond to population (normalized to 1% of the real population) and patch ID. The second one, "netCali.txt" contains the OD matrices for Cali inhabitants. Note that it is a weighted directed network (Columns are Origin-Destination-Weight) and one can find self-loops meaning that people work in the same neighbourhood where they live. We construct the mobility network between the 22 sub-populations in the dataset based on their mobility patterns and represent it using an adjacency matrix W. The connection weight between sub-population i and sub-population j, which represents the mobility flow, is denoted by w_{ij}.
