Data Competition Contest
Data Competitions are a great way to engage the global technical community to provide insight and analysis on your research data. IEEE DataPort is holding its inaugural Data Competition contest. As part of the contest, IEEE DataPort will select three Data Competitions to sponsor, providing cash prizes for the winners of the Data Competitions.
In addition, IEEE DataPort will promote all valid Data Competitions published to the site during the contest through social channels, email, and various other IEEE outlets. There is an expectation that you and your organization will promote your Data Competition in addition to the IEEE DataPort promotion.
How to Enter and Win
Participating in this contest is easy, just publish your Data Competition on IEEE DataPort (link) between November 1, 2021 - January 31, 2022 and check the box to enter the contest.
A panel of IEEE volunteers will evaluate the submitted Data Competitions and select the top 3 to sponsor based on the following criteria:
Value to the technical IEEE DataPort data community
Usability of dataset file(s) for participants
Completeness and quality of Metadata
Winning competition owners will be notified by February 15, 2022 so they can promote the available cash prizes on their Data Competition page prior to the end of their Data Competition.
IEEE DataPort will sponsor $5,000 in cash prizes for each of the three winning Data Competitions, to be allocated to the winners of each of those competitions in the following way:
First place: $2,500
Second place: $1,500
Third place: $1,000
Please read the full official rules before proceeding with an entry.
