Short Bio:
I'm Mitko, an ex-environmental scientist who has now taken to being a tour guide in Egypt. I came to study desert ecosystems and fell under the spell of its natural wonders and the crossover of environment and civilization that is Egypt. My work now involves helping people get into the ecology of this ancient land together with famous attractions.
I have organized tours that showcase remarkable Egypt biodiversity as I operate from Cairo to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. Yes, we indeed visit the famous pyramids and temples, but where I excel is in showing natural wonders that were responsible for shaping Egyptian civilization through millennia. From the life-giving Nile to mysterious desert ecosystems, I demonstrate how the environment had lived throughout in every aspect of the culture of Egyptians.
My excursions are composed of classic sightseeing and ecological discovery. One day, for example, we immerse ourselves in ancient temples where we'll be learning how their design reflected natural phenomena, the next day we might be snorkeling in the Red Sea, learning to discover one of the world's most vibrant marine ecosystems. I consider that with this understanding, he can understand much of Egypt's artistic heritage.
My special tours are the ones regarding environmental ties. Whether we are talking about showing how ancient Egyptians used native plants for medicine or watching desert wildlife adaptations, or we are discussing need for coral reef conservation, each teaches how intertwined the cultural and natural worlds in Egypt really are. I love when visitors learn this country is much more than a history museum: it's a living laboratory for learning about ancient wisdom on living with nature.
